What if I don't like what I got?

Unfortunately, as a small business we do not accept refund, exchanges or returns. 

Damaged or Defective Items

Has something gone wrong?  We're happy to help!  Please let us know within 48 hours of delivery if something is broken or defective, and we will gladly ship you a replacement.  Please email your request along with your order number and a picture of the damaged item to madunicornstudioslimited@gmail.com. Please note that the item has to be returned to me for replacement.

 

ϟ Grading policy ϟ

1. A Grade/Standard Grade pin

Due to the handmade nature of enamel pins, it is almost impossible to make "perfect" pin. These pins are meant to be worn. Some will have minor cosmetic flaws such as:

- tiny air bubbles
- minor enamel underfill
- sightly off-set screen printed areas
- some light imperfections/ superficial scratches in the metal plating (especially on large metal areas)
- small dent on enamel/ metal
- light or very small nicks on the enamel or metal
- some minor and not noticeable dust on enamel
- imperfection on the sides or back of the pin (especially for small pins/ pins 3” or taller)
- teeny tiny missing enamel on very small area (in small cracks etc)

 ** All my pins are standard grade unless listed otherwise. The grading is based on the front of the pin. I will not be replacing pins for a single glitter, tiny scratch or dent.** 

 

2. B Grade pin

B Grade- "Minor Defects"

These pins are for budget collectos. They have tiny noticeable flaws, some of the flaws include:

- multiple areas of underfilled enamel
- moderately scuffed enamel or metal
- multiple points of imperfections on the metal plating
- multiple air bubbles in the enamel
- missing enamel
- off-set screen printed areas
- areas of low glitter
- enamel staining on sides or back of pin
- overfilled enamel that floods some metal lines
- large amounts of glitter in areas where there shouldn't be

- large missing plating on the metal sides
- some dust on enamel
- gouges or marks on enamel

 

3. Seconds pin

Seconds have "Major Defects" some defects include:

- moderately scratched enamel or metal
- multiple air bubbles in the enamel
- unfilled areas of enamel
- missing metal lines
- serious off-set screen printed area
- enamel staining on the front
- overfilled enamel that floods some metal lines
- large amounts of glitter in areas where there shouldn't be
- large amounts of dust on enamel
- noticeable gouges or marks on enamel

**Flaws differ between each pin and will be chosen at random. When you purchase a pin, you agree to accept the item AS IS according to the above grading system. 

B grades and Seconds do not come with a backing card.

Actual product colours may vary from colours shown on your monitor.

The pins are graded at least 40cm away from eyes. They are meant to be worn and enjoyed. If you are looking for perfection, I may not be able to accommodate you. Please look elsewhere.**

 

ϟ Shipping information ϟ

Packages going outside of Canada will be shipped through Chit Chats. Chit Chats takes packages across the border to the USA and ship via USPS, PostNL or APC. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I am not responsible for delays due to customs.

Processing times

My processing time is up to 2 weeks. But I usually ship 1 time a week. Please note that during sales, pin drops, etc. processing times may take a little bit longer. 

Cost

The following is a breakdown of cost for shipping. Upgraded shipping options will be calculated upon checkout.

Canada: $5.5 (small bubble mailers, no tracking), from $10 (includes tracking).
USA: from $9.9 (includes tracking but non-insured) there is an insured option at checkout.
International: Postage fee dependent on country and will be calculated upon checkout.

VAT, taxes and fees

Customer is responsible for any import VAT, taxes and fees. Please account for the fees of your country before you place your order. VAT and taxes may be charged by your country. If you choose to not pay the VAT and customs, the packagae will be diposed of by the carrier, no refund will be given!!

Tracking & Delivery times

Tracking is not included with standard shipping. We offer tracking/insurance as an optional upgrade at checkout. The following are the estimated delivery times from the date the order has been shipped:

Canada: 3–10 business days 
USA: 3–10 business days
International: 2-4 weeks

These are just estimates. Please wait 4 weeks from the date of shipping before contacting me about missing/lost packages.

  • Duty/ VAT/ Taxes
    I will not be responsible for any duties/taxes/etc. that have incurred based on your countries rules and regulations. If you choose to not pay the VAT and customs, the packagae will be diposed of by the carrier, no refund will be given!!
  • Incorrect address entered
    I am not responsible for lost packages if an address is typed incorrectly. 
  • US non-insured and international tracked
    If for some reason your package gets lost in the mail/doesn't arrive, I am not responsible (sorry :< I did mail it and the carrier handles the rest.) 
    If it says DELIVERED, but you did not receive it. Please try to resolve this with your local post office before contacting me. **You are also responsible to pick up your parcel if a "pick-up" notice is dropped off. Parcels that aren't picked up and are "returned" are set to be disposed by the carrier.**
  • What is US Insured shipping?
    If you are from the US and chose Tracked shipping (insured), your package will be insured for physical loss or damage from an external cause while in transit.
    • US Insured Package - tracking stops moving/ item is damaged
      If your package has been lost in transit please contact us and we will contact the carrier.  

    However, some cases are excluded, please see the following:
    • US Insured Package - delivered but not received
      Shipments with "Delivered" Scan from carriers do not qualify for a loss claim and will not be covered by insurance. The same goes for unclaimed and returned parcels. Please contact your local post office as soon as possible and let them know you have a "delivered but not received package." They will issue a search for you. 
    • US Insured Package - We are not responsible for stolen package
      “Porch pirates” are an increasing problem. As a small business we are unable to absorb the cost of stolen packages. And it is not covered by the insurance. 
    • US Insured Package - wrong address is not covered 

 

ϟ Preorder info ϟ

 A Preorder is an item that has not yet come into stock, but you can pre-purchase it to secure your piece. Pre-orders paid up front 100% and are then shipped out to you as soon as they arrive without you having to do anything further.

**Please understand we will try to meet the estimate shipping date. However, there is a chance that the delivery date may be affected due to unforeseeable events during pin production.**

Pre-order Shipping

If your cart includes a pre-order item, your other items will be held until pre-order items arrive and will be shipped together. If you would like other items faster, please purchase them separately.
